Very simple take it to the vet. Dont wait for people to tell you that, common sense says a trip to the vet is in order.
Bring him to the Vet asap. that is not something to wait on. Even if you have to pay emergency fees. A dog is like having a kid, your it's ONLY way to be healthy.

MY Puppy is not eating much of his current food any ideas on other brands of 'puppy' food?
My 4 month old Jack Russel is on Science Plan food (the expensive stuff lol) He doesn't really like it I don't know any other puppy foods thats good for a small young dog. I prefer complete food but I dont know if its safe to put him on adult food yet or keep hunting because he is loosing his appitite. Also I am not feeding him on left overs or too many treats so I'm not sure why he isn't eating!

Give him his food at set times, give him 10 minutes to eat it %26 then take it up until his next meal time. It may just be that you are giving him too much. Don't buy the really cheap stuff which is just full of cereal fillers, but you don't necessarily need the really expensive stuff either. If you bought your pup from a breeder, find out what they fed their dog on.

My puppy is humping?
Hi there well as i said before i just got a puppy a boston terrier .He was sick for a week and left him at the vet for 3 days per the vet he came home a little mean and he is humping everything is that normall for a 2 month old puppy?>

He may be still not feeling good or frustrated that he was away from you for 3 days, or maybe he is excited to be home. I'm not sure at 2 months humping would be a dominance thing. I would check with my vet just to be sure though.
Showing his dominance... he must have had to barking in his crate while at the vet. It's an alpha male thing

My puppy is having diarrhea, what should I do?
She's 12 weeks old %26 has been having diarrhea %26 loose stool for the past few days. Should I stop giving her food for a day %26 just give her water?

Hi there I am a Veterinarian Technician and hope to help! Congratulations on your new puppy!! How exciting!!! There are two things I suggest you do. First, please collect a stool sample (plastic bags are just fine!) and bring it to your vet for them to run an in-house fecal exam for parasites AND a Giardia Snap-Test. It should cost you no more than $25 and you should know the results in about 10-20 minutes. In the mean time it is best to fast your puppy for 24 hours. No food, no treats, no bones, no toys she can break pieces off of. Offer her water often so she does not get dehydrated. Puppies and dogs need a full 24 hours to rid the body of diahrrea. Once the 24 hours is up, I recommend feeding her a bland-diet. You can either pick up some Canine I/D at your vet or (if you don't mind cooking!) you can make chicken and rice or hamburg and rice. Please rinse off ALL the fat before boiling (you should boil the chicken/hamburg and the rice in the same pot). You feed this bland-diet until your puppy has a solid bowel movement. If your puppy is still having diahrrea after fasting for 24 hours then call your Vet and let him'her know what is going on. They will most likely prescribe Metronidazole. Metronidazole is a medication that you will pair with a bland-diet (again) to get rid of the loose stool. I hope this helps! Good luck!

My puppy is eating the cats food and poop. Is it harmful? How can I get him to stop?

I think someone already pretty much answered this so I'm going to elaborate a little. Cat litter of any kind, but especially clumping, that is not natural will cause an obstruction. An Obstruction in the GI tract, which is the intestines, will kill your dog. Cat poop has lots of fat in it and to dogs that tastes yummy. Cat food also has more fat, in most cases, than dog food. If you are using a non-lowfat brand of cat food, or a crappy brand the dog can get sick. Its ok for cats to eat dog food but not the other way around. Put both the cat food and the box up so he cannot get to it. If this cannot be prevented. Buy a biodegradable litter like yesterdays news, or my favorite swheat scoop, its flushable, clumping and its made of wheat so its safe to eat!! My dog gets into the cat box too and I have nowhere to put it up, so I clean it as much as I can, at least twice a day and I use the swheat scoop and I don't seem to have problems. Oh and the food, you may already be giving your cats a premium food, like Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Royal Canine, ect. but if not try one of these, at least they will be a little better.

I don't think that he can get sick from eating a little cat food, but I'm not sure about that poop. Put the cat's things in a place where the dog can't go or is blocked off. BUt, make sure the cat can get to it.
No not harmful just gross lol. Get a spray bottle with water and spray the dog when you catch it doing it , or get a cat pan with a dome lid, that's what I have. Good Luck

cat food is actually ok for the pup. however, if he is eating out of the cat box, then maybe you should move it as the cat feces can cause all kinds of health problems.
Hello..it's not good for dogs to eat cat food or cat poop, especially if you use clumping cat litter, or the dog can become ill %26 die...so you have to keep the cat stuff seperated from the dog .. remember cats can climb where most dogs cannot, we use a little fence to keep the dogs from the cat stuff..Take Care :)
The reason dogs love cat food and poop is because it's high in fat content; moreso than dogfood so it tastes good to them. The cat food won't be harmful to him but may give him a tummy ache. The cat poop is a different story. Not only can the cat litter cause some serious constipation or make them sick because of some of the ingredients in it, if your cat is an indoor/outdoor cat and isn't wormed on a regular basis, your puppy ends up contracting those intestinal parasites. Heck, even my indoor cat always seems to find a bug to eat and gets roundworm all the time. For that reason, it's important to get your puppy on heartgard.
Anyway, is there a bathtub in the house you don't use? We keep our cat box in the spare bathroom tub and my kitty just hops in there to do her business. Maybe there's another area of the house that your cat has easy access to but your dog doesn't? It's a pain, I know, I have two dogs that do the same thing but it just takes some creativity to get around if you have a stubborn dog.
First thing, make sure you don't have clumpable (scoopable) litter. If you do and the dog eats it, it can kill him - it swells up and blocks their insides. I think someone already pretty much answered this so I'm going to elaborate a little. Cat litter of any kind, but especially clumping, that is not natural will cause an obstruction. An Obstruction in the GI tract, which is the intestines, will kill your dog. Cat poop has lots of fat in it and to dogs that tastes yummy. Cat food also has more fat, in most cases, than dog food. If you are using a non-lowfat brand of cat food, or a crappy brand the dog can get sick. Its ok for cats to eat dog food but not the other way around. Put both the cat food and the box up so he cannot get to it. If this cannot be prevented. Buy a biodegradable litter like yesterdays news, or my favorite swheat scoop, its flushable, clumping and its made of wheat so its safe to eat!! My dog gets into the cat box too and I have nowhere to put it up, so I clean it as much as I can, at least twice a day and I use the swheat scoop and I don't seem to have problems. Oh and the food, you may already be giving your cats a premium food, like Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Royal Canine, ect. but if not try one of these, at least they will be a little better.

The cat poop is a different story. Not only can the cat litter cause some serious constipation or make them sick because of some of the ingredients in it, if your cat is an indoor/outdoor cat and isn't wormed on a regular basis, your puppy ends up contracting those intestinal parasites. Heck, even my indoor cat always seems to find a bug to eat and gets roundworm all the time. For that reason, it's important to get your puppy on heartgard.

My puppy is dying, does anyone care?
My dog has renal/kidney disease. According to the doctor, his blood tests show levels so high that he should already be dead. The vet showed me how to administer subcutanious IV fluids to the dog, as we can only afford to administer it ourselves, and only every other day.

We have endured a few illnesses here, and I am always felt that it was better to not allow the suffering, and end the pain, because of the love I feel for my kid- I mean, my pets..

some animals are born with poorly constructed or functioning kidneys and never reach totally optimum health. Eventually, these individuals usually fall into kidney failure at an early age.

mollie is 11 weeks ans she has a whole bunch of toys right now she is running around the house with the toy in her mouth ans running into doors and i dont know how to stop her because if i put her in her cage then that will tell her not to have fun... help

She sounds as though she's a little whirlwind! Does she get plenty of vigorous exercise outside and/or daily walks? A tired puppy is usually a good puppy!
You didn't say what breed she is but some breeds tend towards being a little hyperactive or highly-strung and can easily get overexcited which usually ends in them running around wildly, barking and nipping at things. Too many toys and a lot of noise or fuss can bring that on in no time.
Puppies have very short attention spans and it's a good idea to limit her toys to 3 or 4 a day and then change them out for a different 3 or 4 the next day and so on. This helps to keep your puppy from getting bored with all her toys. The Kong toys that you fill with peanut butter or special doggy treats or the treat balls that roll around and dispense treats are usually fairly good at holding a puppy's attention for more than 2 minutes.
You could set up a small exercise pen in the house, or put up a doggy/child gate to confine her to a smaller space which may help stop the headlong running. Rather than scoop her up and put her in a crate which will make her feel like she's being punished, you could try to settle her down with quiet stroking and talking and perhaps a very tasty chew toy before putting her in her crate - without making any fuss about it. She'll probably complain but will soon learn to lie down quietly for short periods. If you're not already crate training her it would probably be a good idea to start.

And you are right, it will show her not to have fun, but a good solution would be to block off a small part of the house( maby the size of a walk in closet)and give her 1 toy, when she calms down give her another- and if signs are good let her go! This is like the 'terrible twos' and is pretty much what puppy's will do- a few other ideas i have used are:
-get a small dog run for outside,she can run and play- but with a limit.
-Dog obedience classes at petsmart or petco! These things are worth thier weight in gold!in will really calm them down---- to an extent... puppys will be puppys!good luck!

She sounds as though she's a little whirlwind! Does she get plenty of vigorous exercise outside and/or daily walks? A tired puppy is usually a good puppy!
You didn't say what breed she is but some breeds tend towards being a little hyperactive or highly-strung and can easily get overexcited which usually ends in them running around wildly, barking and nipping at things. Too many toys and a lot of noise or fuss can bring that on in no time.
Puppies have very short attention spans and it's a good idea to limit her toys to 3 or 4 a day and then change them out for a different 3 or 4 the next day and so on. This helps to keep your puppy from getting bored with all her toys. The Kong toys that you fill with peanut butter or special doggy treats or the treat balls that roll around and dispense treats are usually fairly good at holding a puppy's attention for more than 2 minutes.
You could set up a small exercise pen in the house, or put up a doggy/child gate to confine her to a smaller space which may help stop the headlong running. Rather than scoop her up and put her in a crate which will make her feel like she's being punished, you could try to settle her down with quiet stroking and talking and perhaps a very tasty chew toy before putting her in her crate - without making any fuss about it. She'll probably complain but will soon learn to lie down quietly for short periods. If you're not already crate training her it would probably be a good idea to start.

You need too get the dog check for eyesight. If that's okay try playing fetch for a little while. That way she won't be running into doors she'll be bringing it back for you to throw it again.
Maybe you should throw her toys she might want to play with you
