a few days ago i noticed a fishy smell and it was coming from my dog..i found that his buthole was the source of smell..i washed it off and it wasn't a problem anymore..then again today it stank like fish and again i washed it off..why is this happening? he goes to the bathroom regularly and his diet hasn't changed..SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!

Sounds like your dog is expressing its anal glands. Usually they express as they defacate.Sometimes when the are impacted or engorged they will express inappropriately. You can take your dog to the vet and they can manually express them.
My Golden dog has the same issue. It's a gland, anal gland(eww.). Nothing abnormal, but you should ask your vet if there is a way to stop the glands from secreting.
same thing happened with my golden!! And with a friend's. The food may be the problem. Some foods tend to result in a fishy smelling gas. However its nothing to be concerned over but if you can't stand the smell you could try switching her food, I recommend Nutro Max, or if you don't mind the smell you can stay with the food she's on!
It sounds like his anal glands are impacted, and they need to be expressed by a vet.
