My neighbours dog keeps fouling in the shared garden?

We have asked them now 3 times to get the dog to stop and actually take the dog for a walk like normal people and they say 'yes no problem' but they just keep letting the dog do it. What makes it worse is another dog from 2 houses away joins that dog in fouling in our garden. They don't even clean it up!

I am at my wits end and really do not want to call in environmental health in case things turn nasty. Any sensible suggestions are welcome.
Answers:
I as a dog own hat when people leave the poo in my yard . Shouldn't happen. But yes calling someone is very drastic measures. Sence you have already told them a few times and they have chose Not to listen. Go out and pick it up and put it on there porch - and it may take a few times before they get it but trust me they will.
I have done this to my neighbor. And now they understand.
Its not mean but you are showing them you dont like it where they leave theres now they wont like where you leave yours

good luck
Shovel it all up and put it on their doorstep.
put it through their letter box
pick it up and post it through their letter box.
stick it through there letterbox
It's not the dogs fault. It's the knobs that own it. Post the turds through their letter box
get some cork (old wine bottle cork will do) grind it up real fine and mix it with some good quality butcher meat.

Leave it down where the dog is shitting.

Whe the dog eats the meat the cork will expand with the liquid in the dog's intestines.

No matter how quick they call the vet it will be too late.

Problem solved.

.
Totally agree

shove it through their letterbox
Report them to the council. A visit from an official may just do the trick, don't get your self in trouble by putting it through anyone's door, it will cause a lot of unnecessary bad feeling if you do.
They do have products such as sprays and crystals that repel pests away from your garden, but is not harmful to animals or humans. Try looking into Farnam Away From My Garden Crystals, Lambert Kay Boundary Pump Spray, or some other products that may help keep the neighbor's dogs away.
serve it hot
I would talk to them one more time, firmly about the issue and state that they agreed not to do this yet disregard the issue later %26 let them know it's attracting the neigbors dogs as well. If it does not stop speak with your animal control officer.
No sensible answers to this problem ime afraid,so put the dogs in the boot of your car or just the RING leader,go for a very long drive and let them out for walkies and drive home, job done, remove Collar.
Key word is "shared".
I guess you could always install a toilet out there for the dogs to use. Or did you have somewhere else in mind for them to do their buisness. The street really in't a safe place for them to be doing it, people frown on dogs doing it in front of their house, smells bad in the house, just hate it when they do it on the walk. Garden sounds like a perfect place to me.
Since you are the one that it bothers, have you ever tried just cleaning it up??
Well here's the thing. You said ' shared garden ' So you can't really make up the rules about the garden..
If you can say that they can't let their dog crap in the garden, then they can say that you can't sit out in the yard and enjoy a glass of lemonade..

You must try to get along with your neighbours... Life is too short to be fighting over such trivial things.. I mean you are going to have a heart attack by worrying about dog crap in the garden.. Who friggin cares..

Shared garden, they get to let their dog crap in it, and you get to clean it up if it bothers you.. Ask them again nicely.. If they don't or won't, then clean it up yourself.. It's good exercise, and it will clean up the garden.. and I do some of my best thinking while doing my pooper scooping... Relax man it's dog crap.. Clean it up if you don't like it..
How infuriating. I'm guessing that you share this garden with lots of other neighbours too - not just the irresponsible dog owners?

It sounds like you are in rented accomodation? If so, ask your landlord/management company to address the problem. Get your other neighbours to complain as well - especially those with children. Dog mess is very toxic and dangerous to children's health. Go on about how the children can't play in the garden because of the fouling. You don't have to tell them who the problem neighbours are just let them know that lots of people are allowing their dogs to foul the gardens. They are obliged to do something about it and when they get involved your neightbours may be shaken into action!
The very least they could do is pick it up!
