My puppy is 5 months old and her breath is absolutely awful. She is teething.?

Should her breath smell so bad? What can I do?
Answers:
There are many reasons puppies have bad breath. First, what are you feeding? Some foods can cause bad breath simply because of the ingredients in the food. Second, do you brush your dog's teeth regularly. Dogs need dental hygiene just like humans. Do not use people-toothpaste. Go to the pet store and get dog toothpaste and a toothbrush. Third, if you've not been taking care of your dog's teeth, even at 5 months, she may need a dental cleaning. This can be done by your vet. Finally, use an enzyme additive to your dog's water, i.e. Oral Care, which can be found at your local pet supply store.

TAKE HER TO THE VET AND THEY WILL TELL U WHAT 2 DO!!!
Teething will cause upset stomachs and a very sour smell to pups breath. Once all the teeth are in things will smell better. In the mean time it would be great to have some really good chew toys for her and You can also get a wash cloth and wet it and then freeze it for her to chew on. Once it is all defrosted take it way and rinse it out and refreeze it for the pup.
My wife and I had the same problem with our dog as a puppy. We went to the local pet store and bought a kit to brush her teeth. This seemed to help resolve the problem. The kit included breath mints, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.

We thought that the process was going to be a pain in the neck, but it really isn't that bad (we brush right her teeth before we go to bed) as long as you start when it is a puppy. We also started brushing because our vet told us it can add to the lifespan of the animal.
for some dogs when they are teething it all depends on what they are chewing on what there foods are and how much sleep they are getting. If ur puppy starts to naw on a couch or chair or anything like that then i would just test a few new foods and toys. And since your puppy has bad breath too look at your puppys teeth everyday and see to it that they arent shaving off bone or anything and make sure that ur puppy has a mixture of dry and dry food that has been soaked in water atleast 2-4 days a week untill your puppy is atleast 1 year old. Make sure that ur puppy has soft and hard toys to chew on too
I have a puppy and she is 3 months old and her breath is not that bad!!!
Yes, they are teething at this age. Try and give your puppy ice cubes to chew on!! Maybe she isn't getting enough water to drink. The ice cubes will help with the sore gums and the wanting to chew all the times.
Try the ice cubes that might help with the smell.
Good Luck
Get your dog off soft food. Feed it NUTRO natural choice...lamb and rice!! Never feed your animals soft food
