He's 9 weeks old, and he's starting to lose some hair around his eyes and nose area where his whiskers are... Is this something I should worry about???

Actually yes it is. Keep an eye on it ring worm and mange show signs or hairloss around the eyes. You may need a skin scrape done from the vet. If you just got him it could be demodex from a stressful change in situations. This happens a lot at this age.
