My Korean friend would like to get a dog. What breed should I suggest?

Answers:
A nice big juicy one I think, lol.
a breed like labrodor ballmastiff
Daschund is the best breed easy to handle very lovaable and obedient.
IS THIS BREAKFAST / DINNER OR TEA ?
poodle for breakfast
alsation for dinner
something light for tea - perhaps a whippet
What difference does it make that he's Korean? Do Korean people like particular dogs?

I suppose it would depend on how much space your friend has. If he/she has a big garden or is able to take the dog for regular walks, then I would suggest a german shephard or a labrador. They have lovely natures.

If your friend hasn't got much space then a spaniel is a great choice.
ive been told that cavalier king charles spaniels are lovely.........
golden retriever...beacause they are friendly and loyal...
none, they eat them in Korea!!!
A very big one.
First of all, what difference does it make that your friend is Korean? If your friend will take care of an animal right, any will do...but you might want to consider where your friend lives , and what your friend likes..
Following on from what 'Anna A' says, why do you mention that your friend is from Korea?

What difference does it make where he is from? If you believe that Koreans are fussy about their pets, then there is not point in asking us, ask another Korean!

More importantly, as it will be your friends dog, why not ask him/her
Well it depends on what type of dog he wants. If he wants an active dog that like to run around and play alot, then you should try Labradors and Golden Retreivers, both are loving companions (i know because i have a lab) but if he wants a dog that just walks around and doesnt do much than you should try to get a small breed of dog. But if i were you i would research dog breeds and inform myself before giving another person advice on which breed he should get. Remember that a dog is the best companion you can have before you get married so pick the one that you'll have the most fun with.
chow chows were bred for meat and labour, like oxen.
Presumably a non edible one!
get a cross breed from an animal shelter. They are much more sturdy and suffer less diseases.

My dogs are pedigrees but are never away from the vet. For example cocker spaniel has bad ears, eyes, skin.
my partners dog was a cross breed, lived for 16 years and never had to visit a vet once!
how about a sausage dog?
How big an appetite does he have?
if there a midget get them a german shepard so then he wont eat the dog the dog will eat him
It depends really, golden retrievers are nice =)
Erm depends on your friends lifestyle and her preferences but some nice and friendly dogs are pugs, west highland terriers, daschunds, maltesers, labradors, french bulldog.
