Well your probably right but you have to find a way to get him into your vets. Only a vet can tell you for sure if your right or not. If it is a UTI then he will need antibiotics to clear it up. No matter what you will still have to spend money to get your dog better.
Sounds maybe like a bladder infection. your dog will be fine as long as you see a doc soon for meds!

If you do not see a doc, he could suffer badly from this condition, so if you care about your dog you must see a doc!
You have to take him to the vet and just ask him if you can pay alittle at a time.
He pretty likely has urine crystals/bladder infection. Possibly even bladder stones.

This is usually treated with an antibiotic, and possibly a diet change to acidify the urine.

Really, this is something only a vet can determine with a urine sample. Not much you can do on your own. :( I also have to add that your poor old guy is probably pretty uncomfortable in his current state. If at all possible, he really should see a vet.
it could be lots of things... he does need to go to the VET asap.

there is NO reason to put him down if he is in good health!!
.
You can't put a dog down just because he is bleeding! What was your hubby thinking? My guinea pig had a bladder stone removed because she was bleeding urine. It was easier to get out with females. It could be a bladder stone or something similar.
He probably has a urinary track infection. If your vet is a good vet that cares about the animals they will be able to put you on a payment plan so that you can treat him now without sacrificing his health and well-being.
er im not sure just find out wats wrong try internet
If you have a credit card, now is the time to use it %26 get your dog to the vet. If not, try taking your dog to the Humane Society , explain, ask for help. Sometimes, even with no money, a vet will work with you, but keep in mind they hear "no money, no money" all the time from people who have all the money in the world for jewelry or a new CD or a beer or cigarettes - in other words what we have money for is often a matter of priorities. I worked with girl who "couldn't afford to spay her cat" - the day she said this she was wearing a new diamond necklace, driving a BMW %26 had just returned from a trip to France! If you truly don't have money ask the vet or humane society if you could WORK in exchange for care - clean kennels, do yard work etc.
If you have a regular vet that you have been going to, explain your financial situation to him/her, and ask if they will allow you to make payments. There is always an answer out there. Call your local Humane Society or ASPCA and ask for suggestions or recommendations. Considering that he is bleeding, that is something that needs attention soon, and under the circumstances, your vet would probably say to bring him in and they will work something out with you. But do call. Good luck and I hope your doggie isn't too ill.

LOL - I know when I have a bladder infection, I just drink alot of cranberry juice. You could try giving him some and see if he likes it! Or - there are cranberry pills that are sold at health food stores, or where vitamins are sold...even some discount drug stores have them..Perhaps you could put one in some cheese, or lunch meat and give them to him daily and see if it helps?
