My mini pincher just had puppies. Any advice?

if just born than if you intend to tail dock than it needs to be done 2 to 5 days of age and declaws removed. Ear cropping is done at 4 to 6 months of age not before. Reason is to ensure that they are cropped to appropriate size of the dogs appearance. Leave them natural and if anyone that receives them from you want cropped ears they can deal with this themselves.
Let dam and pups alone with secure place for as much peace and quiet as possible. The dam will leave the pups to eat and drink and rest on her own. Do not worry about this, she will take carry of what needs to be taken care of. Try not to overhandle for the first couple of weeks and do not let the pups go til at least 8 weeks of age. Socializing by the dam is required. Weaning is more than just when a pups starts to eat dry food, it involves the imprinting by the dam which in fact can take up to age 12 weeks. Good luck.

Make sure mum and puppies are in a quiet place that is warm with some clean dry bedding. You should take her to the vet for a post natal check in the next 24-36hrs. Ask your vet how you should be raising your litter and what to expect if you don't already know. Make sure mum is having puppy food while raising her litter.

at the age of 3 to 5 days you need to have the tails docked if you are going to have it done. have fun with them. handle the puppies as much as you can so they like being with and being handle by people. I live in the USA so it is not illegal to have to have the tails. ears can be cropped at 8 to 12 weeks of age. there are some of county in some states that do not allow it done.
