My lhasa is pregnant with her 2nd litter any advice?

my 3+ year old lhasa is preggers with her 2nd litter she had her 1st litter december 2005 she had a whopping 7 pups the first 6 were all delivered naturaly but the last one was stuck and she needed a c-section. the 7 pup was still born. all 6 other pups were healthy and weaned very very well am still in contact with all the people who bought the puppies an all are healthy and well.
i'm off to the vets on friday to have her checked out was just wondering if
a) she might have another large litter
and
b) whether there are any know risks of breeding after a c-section and the chance of her needing another one.
i will of course ask my vet this when i go but just thought i'd see what i could find out on here. thanks

hi
Lhasa are awesome dogs... Mine has 2 litters also... both litters she had 6...
so possibly yours could have 7.. but pretty sure it will be fairly large... although ive known some to have only 3.
she may need another C section.. just watch her carefully like you did the first time.
good luck!
they are so cute.
Get her spayed and quit using her as an ATM machine. You should have cleared this with your vet BEFORE you bred her. You have a very high risk pregnancy on your hands. You can lose her and the entire litter.
Hm.. so she had her first litter when she was around.. 1 year old? You're such a knowledgeable breeder, why do you need us to answer your questions? After a female has had a c-sections, it's best not to breed her again as the chances of her needing another c-section is pretty high. It's possible she will have another large litter but there is no way to tell without an ultrasound. Please spay your dog - I PERSONALLY don't think that you know enough about breeding to BE breeding.
Get her spayed.
No one claimed you were stupid. The problem is you obviously haven't done your research about breeding, or else you wouldn't be asking your question here of all places.

Ask yourself WHY do you want to be a breeder? Is it because you love the breed and want to help preserve and improve its characteristics as a whole? Or is it because you think it's fun, and puppies are so cute and cool, and you think you have the potential to make a pile of quid once you figure this whole dog breeding thing out?

The fact is breeding is heartbreaking, expensive, and a lot of hard work. There are so many unwanted animals in shelters and rescue organizations all over the world. It doesn't matter that all your customers love their puppies from your first experimental litter. It was easier for those people to buy shiny new puppies from you instead of considering a rescue animal. STOP CONTRIBUTING TO THE PROBLEM.
Get her spayed.

You are not knowledgeable enough to be breeding dogs. Nor do you talk about what titles she has, what genetic testing you have done and that of the stud dogs.

I feel sorry for your dog.

As the quote in Black Beauty says
"We do not get to choose the people in our lives, for us it's all chance"
