My friend has been trying to breed her 2 miniature jack russells. she suspects that her ***** could be 2 week?

pregnant, due to the change in her behaviour. what are the signs for a real pregnancy early on, and any advice on what she can do when her ***** goes into labour as this is 1st time doing this.
Answers:
Only trwo weeks - Take her to get spayed.

Added:

Houseplants - I lost it. To funny but oh so true.
talk to a vet
she may be havin a phantom pregnancy. this is where her body tells her shes pregnent but shes not. she can have a fake birth, them mother a toy
but the best advise should come from ur vet. she/he should have gone their before she/he mated her dogs.

there is no standard for jack russels, but theres no reason for that guy above being an d**k
as long as the pups go to GOOD homes + there treated properly theres no prob. (errrr...they did check that these dogs arnt related didt they?)

read books, go on the internet
Just shakes her head.
I work for a vet, at different times of the pregnancy they could have her ultrasounded or x-rayed to see if there are any puppies, one of the good things about an x-ray is it shows how many puppies, so when she is having them you will know how many there are and should anything go wrong it gives you a head count too.She should also find a quite place to put a blanket for her to have the pups on.
My concern here would be that your 'friend' doesn't appear to have taken time to learn what she needs to know before breeding her dogs. If she'd done her homework and studied hard before breeding, she should have known the answer to this. She also should have someone who is already an experienced breeder to ask these questions. If you're asking this, then your friend hasn't gotten a mentor (experienced breeder) which she really should have.

Lack of knowledge can cause problems.
First of all there is no such thing as minature jack russels, they either are the short legged type or the longer legged type. There is no obvious sign in a bitches temperment in early stages of pregnency many dogs don't even develp milk untill a few days before labour.A vet can detect pregnency at about 4/5weeks after the mating and also advice on the best diet and general up keep of a pregnent bi tch.Your friend should read up on looking after a pregnent dog and what to expect during labour and to look for any problems during pregnency up untill the birth.Make sure your friend is well aware of what being a good breeder is all about, ideally she should have potential homes lined up for the pups already, provide 1st injections before they go home to there new owners, puppy packs and even 6 weeks free insurance!!Good luck with everything.
Theres too much to learn to type it here, whole manuals are written about breeding. Your friend needs to buy a breeders manual, and get her dogs vaccinated and wormed by the vet ASAP. The vet can check the female at the same time.
The mothers antibodies are the only protection the pups get for the first few weeks so vaccination is not an option; and any other dogs in the house need to be done as well.

There are no reliable ways of telling if she is pregnant until around 4 weeks at the earliest. What a pity your friend hasn't done any research. She needs to get the vet involved if she doesn't want to risk losing her b1tch through ignorance.
Why breed from it? There are so many unwanted puppies needing homes. I suspect it maybe greed, as good money will be paid for puppies. Get the dog spayed.
